Irro introduces the Pridebus

A real "eye-catcher" has been on the roads of Lüchow-Dannenberg for a few days now. The "Pridebus", covered with a large waving rainbow color, is meant to be a sign for tolerance and humanity - and these days, of course, also for peace.

As a company, we are committed to tolerant and respectful interaction - regardless of origin, gender, sexual orientation or political stance.

Our 190 employees have their roots not only in Lüchow-Dannenberg, Uelzen or Saxony-Anhalt, but also in Poland, Scotland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Latvia, New Zealand, Senegal and many other parts of the world. No matter what background or sexual orientation our employees have, at Irro everyone is allowed to feel comfortable and go about their work without prejudice. As part of the tourism and transportation industry, internationality and diversity are a natural part of our daily work. Diversity is enrichment for us.

When choosing our flag, we decided on the 2018 "Progress Flag" by Daniel Quasar. In addition to the rainbow colors, this one incorporates a wedge - with light blue, pink and white colors to symbolize the trans community, and brown and black stripes to symbolize the people-of-color community. According to Quasar, this wedge is meant to show that there is still a lot of progress and pride to be made on these issues in order to strengthen the rights of all.
